WASHINGTON, DC (April 14, 2021) - The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) powered by Ticketmaster announced today that the league will travel to Washington, D.C. on September 19, 2021. Audi Field will host the 2021 PLL Championship.

“Audi Field is a world-class venue, fit for a championship stage,” said PLL Co-Founder and CMO Paul Rabil. “Fans and players from the D.C. region will enjoy the best our game has to offer as we track a competitive, season-long Road to Championship Weekend. The Road to D.C. will begin with the quarterfinals at Rio Tinto Stadium in Utah. The semifinals will be played at Subaru Park in Philadelphia.

“Our vision for Audi Field was always that it would play host to world class sports events beyond just our MLS Season,” said Harry Hardy, Executive Vice President of D.C. United. “We are proud to once again partner with Premier League Lacrosse and welcome their passionate fans back to D.C. for their Championship Game.”

The PLL will work with its venue partners to maintain compliance with local and state governance regarding health and safety best practices. This will include standardized weekend-to-weekend health and safety measures, including but not limited to: seating pods, social distancing, enhanced venue cleaning, mobile ticketing, hand sanitation stations, staff and attendee mask requirements. Similar to the 2020 season, the PLL will be working with a committee of medical professionals to develop health and safety protocols for all players, staff, and fans as well.
