Getting to the Carnegie Library

The landmark Carnegie Library is centrally located in Washington, DC’s historic Mt. Vernon Square. Metro and bus will both get you there. DC is one of the most walkable and bikeable cities in the nation, so if you’re staying nearby, strolling or pedaling are a great way to see the city along the way.

By Metro: Take the Orange, Red or Yellow lines to the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro station or ride the Green and Yellow lines to the station at  Mt. Vernon Square 7th Street Convention Center.

 By Bus: Metro buses and the DC Circulator buses also stop near the Carnegie Library at Mt. Vernon Square.

By Car: Whether you’re driving yourself or using a rideshare service, Google Maps can get you here.

Parking: There is no public parking at the Carnegie Library, but there are ample parking spaces on surface lots and garages within walking distance.
